Our framed flat rooflight is priced competitively without compromising on quality. Boasting a centre pane U-value of 1.1 W/m2Km, the rooflight we supply is one of the most thermally efficient double-glazed roof lights available.
Our framed flat rooflights are made with high quality glass
Unlike other competitors, whose rooflights are supplied with bottom pane 6mm toughened glass, this product comes with a 6.4mm minimum inner laminated glass. For larger rooflights, the inner pane will be 9.5mm or 11.5mm laminated.
Laminated panes are produced by bonding a film, or interlayer between two or more plies of glass. Upon fracture, the interlayer holds the broken shards of glass, preventing injury to those immediately below the rooflight.
Toughened glass would shatter into thousands of prices risking injury to those below the rooflight. Our use of laminate glass on the bottom makes our rooflight product much safer than many of our competitors’ products, who use toughened glass only on the bottom pane.
These flat glass skylights simply fit directly on top of the existing builders upstand/kerb. The skylight is manufactured to ISO 9001 industry standards in the UK.

How do you prevent water pooling?
To prevent water pooling, we recommend a minimum 5-degree pitch. Maximum recommended pitch for this product is 15 degrees. Sometimes customer may require installing at a lower than the recommended pitch. If choosing to do this, then we strongly advise pouring water over the top of the skylight to ensure the flow of the water is smoothly off the unit before the rooflight is installed. The only purpose of the skylight pitch is so the maximum efficiency of the self-clean coating is utilised (if selected) along with water and dirt to drift off. When installed completely flat with no pitch then the water could pool on the top of the rooflight glass which won’t affect the performance or cause leaking. You may be able to see visible water when looking up at the skylight due to the lower pitch, however the warranty is still valid, but you may notice water pooling when looking up.
