Measuring & Installation Guide

When making a purchase, you should ensure that the size you are ordering matches the measurements for your external upstand (including any material for roofing). As an example, if you opt for the 1000mm x 2000mm roof lantern, then the measurements of your external upstand should also be 1000mm x 2000mm.

You should also ensure that the width of the upstand is 70mm minimum, with a height of at least 150mm.

As can be seen on the diagram below, there will be an overhang of 116mm between the roof lantern and the external upstand. The overall area the roof lantern covers for this example would be 1232mm x 2232mm.

Every Wendland roof lantern is made to order, and to your specifications. For this reason, please check the size you order carefully because once production commences, we will be unable to make any changes.

FAQs

How much more solar energy does Celsius Blue One Tint reflect in comparison to Standard Neutral Glass?

78% of the sun’s total heat can be reflected with Celsius One Blue Tint; this is over three times the level of solar reflection that standard glass can provide.

When compared to Standard Neutral Glass, how much more heat does Celsius One Blue Tint glass retain?

Celsius One Blue Tint can help to slash your heating costs with its superior energy efficiency and thermal performance. It is capable of retaining 50% more heat when compared to the standard neutral glass, reducing your reliance on heating.

Does the Celsius glass range come with full guarantees and certification?

A comprehensive 10-year warranty covering seal failure applies to the Celsius glass range, and it is also certified to meet BS EN 12150-1 and BS EN 1279-2 standards.

Will the blue tint significantly reduce the glare I currently have in my conservatory? And how noticeable is the blue tint?

There is only a very subtle blue tone to the glass but the tint reduces the level of glare substantially without blocking the distribution of light throughout the year.

What is the best type of performance glass for my house that faces north?

Typically, a house with a conservatory that faces north would find more light extremely beneficial. For this reason Celsius Neutral Glass would be our recommendation. This glass provides the greatest amount of light without compromising the other qualities of the Celsius collection, such as superior heat retention.

If the opposite applies and you have a house which faces south, it will already be receiving lots of light so the Celsius One Blue Tint glass would be better to provide solar protection and to prevent glare.
