Fakro’s pitched top hung roof windows are available in various sizes. The FPP-V and FPW-V dual function top hung roof window come with white or natural pain internal finish depending on the option selected. The skylight roof window utilises a safe design that is easy to operate and very functional. The window is double-glazed with laminated inner glass. The rooflight window has a uValue of 1.3 and two independent opening mechanisms.

What is a top hung roof window?

Top hung roof windows are hinged at the top, allowing them to swing open from the bottom so that the window opens outwards. They allow stunning panoramic views, while also providing a safe, unobstructed means of escape in the event of emergencies.

Top hung roof window features

  • Top hung and pivot windows come with two independent opening mechanisms.
  • The pitched rooflight sash can be opened outwards from the top and via a centre pivot.
  • The skylight’s opening method can be switched using preselect sliding switch placed in the side part of the frame which is accessible after opening the window.
  • The roof window be rotated 180° for you to clean the outer pane.

Measuring & Installation Guide

Measurements shown on the website are width x length. It is important to leave a 10mm tolerance gap all the way around the window when measuring and installing. For example, if you order a 55x78cm window, the opening should be 57x80cm.

Flashing Kit:

The flashing kit required can be selected from the price drop down menu on this page. 4 different roof window flashing kits can be selected which are all also shown on the end of the image gallery in this page.
EZV-A: for Interlocking Tiles up to 45mm profile. Profiled roof coverings such as roof tiles or corrugated metal sheeting.
ELV: for Non Interlocking Slate up to 10mm thick. Flat roof coverings such as bitumen or slate.
EPV: for Plain Tiles up to 16mm thick. Plain tile roof coverings non interlocking (peg tiles)
EHN-A: for Interlocking tiles up to 90mm profile. High profile roof coverings such as roof tiles or corrugated metal sheets.

• Internal natural pine wood frame with 2 layers of clear lacquer (FPP-V P2) or 2 layers of white acrylic varnish (FPW-V P2)

The pitched Fakro roof window is supplied with a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty.

Delivery & Lead Time

2-3 working days for the manual opening version.
A restocking fee is charged for incorrect sizes by this skylight manufacturer, please ensure the correct size is ordered.

For the Fakro Top Hung Skylights at times sizes may be out of stock if we have received orders for large quantities from other customers. This usually only effects the least popular sizes 78 x 160 or 94 x 140. We will notify you of this once the order is placed or alternatively you can call us to confirm before processing the order.
